There has been a lot of activity at the old homeplace this summer. Most of the debris from the ice storm has been cleared from the trails and the creek. The entrance has been improved, a new horseshoe area is being prepared, improvements to the shed housing the tractors has been made and new lights have been installed in the kitchen. Municipal water has been installed in the cabin. However, as usual it will be turned off when a hard freeze is predicted - probably late Nov or early December.
Fall Work Day Saturday, November 7th Forty-one men, women and children met at the cabin to rake leaves and prepare the cabin area for the winter.
Story Telling Saturday, November 7th Tim Sharp (Jane's husband was on had to record Rousey stories)
We had hot dogs and soups for lunch and lots of great fun.
